Having been raised on live events and mediocre football courtesy of his father, Michael, a long-time and long-suffering New York Jets season ticket holder, Dan set out to build something that would enable fellow season ticket holders and live event junkies to get to another event they want to see with the tickets they already have and paid for. He started SeatSwap with a couple of nickels and no technical know-how from his NYU dorm room and then bootstrapping it while attending law school on a full scholarship. Dan was able to leverage his sports business degree, sports media experience as a credentialed media member covering the Jets and Yankees as well as hosting and producing his own FM radio show in New York, and his legal background to position SeatSwap as an acquisition target for larger secondary market companies and as a powerful tool for stakeholders such as the LA Dodgers, Adidas, Brooklyn Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Florida Panthers. Dan has been featured in publications such as Yahoo Finance and SportTechie and is an adjunct professor in his alma mater program at NYU and has lectured at Universities across the globe, most recently at the University of Limerick in Limerick, Ireland. Over the past year, Dan also started a new media production company called Brashful which is developing several high-profile podcasts with major figures from the world of sports.
